At the start Anja made her art in bronze and polyester but she kept looking for more transparant materials and discovered at a certain moment glass. From that time on she went for a 9 year training learning how to work with cold and hot glass in IKA ( Institute for Art & Crafts) in Mechelen, but since Anja seeks for technical perfection she works together with master glass blower Richard Price.
Nature, in which she spends a lot of her time, is her source of inspiration. Also important is the interpersonal relation expressed in the colors of her sculptures or installations.
Anja loves music what triggered e.g. “Polyfony”, a series of objects referring to polyphony appearing in round, straight, oblique and scattered forms, but however complex, ending up in the harmony of feelings, colors and sound.
