Fiction # Function

Abel JallaisJonas MoënneAmber Roucourt

Abel and Jonas received their training in La Cambre in Brussels with Caroline Andrin, Amber in the PXL University College in Hasselt with Marieke Pauwels.

Abel Jallais takes the object out of its functional context and transforms it into a free form.
Jonas Moënne tells stories about an earthly universe, which he shapes with clay as a metaphor for earth.
Amber Roucourt investigates the specific properties a shape needs to generate a movement. Her work consists of large and small movable ceramic objects.
In their work, the three artists suggest the functionality of ceramics, without their objects being functional. The fascinating area between fiction and function of ceramic art.
